 24 August, 1991 Ukraine proclaimed her independence (until she came as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic in the USSR). The act of proclamation of independence of Ukraine from August 24, 1991 was approved Dec. 1, 1991 by the first popular vote.

 «V Spartakiad for employees of diplomatic and consular posts» was completed by the competition on fishing, which were held in Kiev, 26 June 2010. The lake Didorovka in National Nature Park «Goloseevsky» choosed the best among the 15 teams of fishermen diplomats from around the world. Spartakiad was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports, the organizers of the competition for fishing is fishing was Ukrainian Sport Club «Fishermen Community of Ukraine».
 XIV Spartakiad workers of the central executive authorities opened a competition for fishing, past the outskirts of Kiev on Saturday, May 22. The event was organized by the All-Ukrainian fishing club «Fishermen Community of Ukraine» under the auspices of the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports.
 10 April 2010. Everybody can take part in the tournament "Far Shot" on distance and accuracy casting, amateur carp fishing, held in honor of the biennium, the fishing club "Odessa". As part of the tournament be allowed to test the latest carp rods and get a "Master Class" on the casting distance.
 On the day of the holy Epiphany on January 19 we invite you to take part in the National Festival of amateur ice fishing "Epiphany fishermen 2010", which is conducted through the joint initiative of the Kyiv City Center for Development of Fisheries and Fishermen Community of Ukraine under the auspices of the Kyiv city administration.

 Our organization has addressed to the appropriate authorities of the state government time and again as for the regular violations of the environmental legislation in Ukraine by some public and sport organizations/joint companies.. However, notwithstanding our protests, some of the public organizations are still planning fishing competitions conducting not concerted with the fishery protection authorities, which can result in a significant damage to the fishery resources in Ukraine - especially in the spawning prohibition period.
 At the 16th International exhibition «Hunting and Fishing», during the meeting with the regional representatives of the Community, awarding of the sportsmen was conducted, these sportsmen represented “All-Ukrainian Sport Fishing Club in the Fishermen Community of Ukraine” at the World Championship in the ice jig fishing ( February 14-15, 2009, Poland).
Bohdan Schevich and Bohdan Demyanchuk, joined the national team of Ukraine helped to bear the Gold away for our team: Order of Merit for “All-Ukrainian Sport Fishing Club in the Fishermen Community of Ukraine” they were awarded with the laptops!

 On January 25-26 activists of «the Fishermen Community of Ukraine» conducted inspection raids in the markets of the capital and Kiev’s oblast – with respect to the discovery of the illegal fishing gears trade. Representatives of the Kiev’s ecological and cultural center, Kiev State Fish Protection and Ministry of the Internal Affairs took part in the raids.
In the course of two days three volunteer teams and law enforcement officials with the total number of 20 persons, inspected six cities and towns: Kiev, Belaya Tserkov, Skvira, Vasilkov, Fastov, Irpen. Due to the operating information received from the local activists of the Community, only the markets, where the illegal fishing gears trade had been discovered were inspected.

 02.06.2010 after prior agreement with the developers of the bill - Gromada Fishing trips in Ukraine and the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center - in the Verkhovna Rada was registered by the new draft Law ¹ 6458-1 «On Amendments to the Law" On Wildlife "(concerning the strengthening of measures against poaching). The purpose of adopting the draft Law is an urgent need for a legislative ban the manufacture, sale and use of poaching implements and a prohibition of entry into Ukraine traps, synthetic nets and electric rods used solely for the purpose of poaching.
 May 19, 2010 at the initiative of Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko and President of the Fishermen Community of Ukraine Andriy Nelipa a round table «Problems of realization of Ukrainian legislation on combating grave violations of human fisheries, and ways to improve it».
 April 15, 2010, The Law of Ukraine "On Amendments the Code of Administrative Offences (to enforce anti-poaching)" number 3003 from 22.07.2008, developed by Fishermen Community of Ukraine and the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center, was adopted on second and final reading a last-minute afternoon session, with the support of Deputy Speaker N. Tomenko and a number of People's Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Introduced criminal liability for fishing with electric rods and explosives! (16.02.2010)
 Parliament of Ukraine has established criminal liability for illegal fishing activities, namely, fishing using explosives, poisons, and electric shocks. Such proposals for the law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on hunting ground, hunting and fishing, protection, use and reproduction of the animal world", introduced with the support of AFPA "Fishermen Community of Ukraine" by people's deputy Mykola Tomenko.

 Ukraine started the hunting season for poachers. Militia, together with public activists conduct raids, checks almost daily. Catch not only those who illegally fishing, but also those who sell their poachers catch. In fact, until 19 June, the extent of restrictions on catching fish - just now spawning period.
 With an addition of FCU abbreviation and with new founder (All-Ukrainian Charitable Fund «The Fishermen Community of Ukraine»), in April 2009 a fresh issue of the public newspaper of the Community - “Rybolovny Vestnik” of the Fishermen Community of Ukraine was ready. Information content of the newspaper has not been changed; subject of the columns is still the same: public initiatives, anti-poaching struggle, charity, fishing sport.
 Traditionally in our country at the beginning of July Day of Fisherman is marked. «Dorosle of radio 106.0 Fm», which many name radios of favourites of fishermen, on July, 7 organized the First Championship on fishing «FISHING HAPPINESS» on the cup of the wireless station. Championship passed at support of "Community of Fishermen of the Ukraine" and magazine of «Svit Ribalki» on the special fishing-sporting base «Fishing Cordon», that not far from with. Yaroshovka of the Fastovskogo district.
 On Saturday on a picturesque lake near to village Byshev in Fastovsky area, that in 50 kilometers from Kiev, the charitable organization "Community of Fishermen of the Ukraine" and radio station "Adult radio 106 fm" have lead the championship on fishing. Despite of awful, changeable weather because of which has tightly "chopped off" a picking, the holiday has gone right on glory - we did not see any disappointed person.
