 Representatives of the Fishermen Community of Ukraine and Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center held in Kiev on June 8 official press conference on an important changes in the law "About Wildlife". Now completely banned manufacture, sale, storage and use of poaching fishing implements, and, most importantly, imports of these devices in Ukraine - it is the result of effective cooperation between the public and MPs.
 April 10 2011. everyone will be able to participate in the tournament, "Far Shot" on distance and accuracy casting, carp fishing Amateur, held in honor of the biennium, a fishing club "Odessa". As part of the tournament will be testig the latest carp fishing rods and a "Master Class" in distance casting.
 19 February 2011 in Kiev held a winter fishing FCU festival "Fierce anglers - 2011". It was on the bank of Dnieper River in the Gulf of Obolon. The program activities were fishing competition fishing from the ice with mormyshka and balanceer, weighing and counting results, awarding the winners, excellent fishing soup on fire, celebrating the closing of the winter fishing season and the companionship of like-minded.
 September 18, 2010. in Kiev held a traditional fishing festival of FCU "Autumn Coast-2010. It walked on the bank of the Dnipro river in the Obolon (so-called "Pipeline"). The program activities were fishing competition fishing for white fish bottom tackle, award winning, delicious ear and fishing porridge on the campfire, celebrating the opening of the fall season of fishing and companionship of like-minded.
 «V Spartakiad for employees of diplomatic and consular posts» was completed by the competition on fishing, which were held in Kiev, 26 June 2010. The lake Didorovka in National Nature Park «Goloseevsky» choosed the best among the 15 teams of fishermen diplomats from around the world. Spartakiad was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports, the organizers of the competition for fishing is fishing was Ukrainian Sport Club «Fishermen Community of Ukraine».

 XIV Spartakiad workers of the central executive authorities opened a competition for fishing, past the outskirts of Kiev on Saturday, May 22. The event was organized by the All-Ukrainian fishing club «Fishermen Community of Ukraine» under the auspices of the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports.

 The protest anglers in Lviv finished with a positive result: Lviv Regional Council announced distrust head of the Lviv State Fishery Department Bogdan Herman, and decided to conduct a thorough investigation into misconduct at the local fishery. The results of checks MPs will seek to ban commercial fishing in the Lviv region.
 In Ukraine formed real threat of a full barbaric destruction of aquatic resources and inland water bodies. This is connected with the extraordinary increase in poaching in the country and the continuation of corruption lawlessness, perpetrated by "fishery kingdom" tycoons from the State Fishery Committee (now the Fishery Agency of Ukraine). On behalf of the All-Ukrainian fishermen community, we express an official protest against its illegal activities!
 October 27, 2010 in Kiev city House of Nature took place an exhibition of poaching instruments and press-conference "Poaching mayhem in Ukraine." Organizers of the event: Fishermen Community of Ukraine and Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center. The press conference was be attended by people's deputy of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko and Deputy Head of the State Ecological Inspection Mykola Pavlenko. Journalists were shown around 100 different poaching instruments, rip it out in raids by activists of KECC, FCU, DOP "Green Future", and given a booklet, "poaching mayhem in Ukraine", published recently by the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center and the film about the anti-poaching, filmed by Fishermen Community of Ukraine.
 Our organization has addressed to the appropriate authorities of the state government time and again as for the regular violations of the environmental legislation in Ukraine by some public and sport organizations/joint companies.. However, notwithstanding our protests, some of the public organizations are still planning fishing competitions conducting not concerted with the fishery protection authorities, which can result in a significant damage to the fishery resources in Ukraine - especially in the spawning prohibition period.
 At the 16th International exhibition «Hunting and Fishing», during the meeting with the regional representatives of the Community, awarding of the sportsmen was conducted, these sportsmen represented “All-Ukrainian Sport Fishing Club in the Fishermen Community of Ukraine” at the World Championship in the ice jig fishing ( February 14-15, 2009, Poland).
Bohdan Schevich and Bohdan Demyanchuk, joined the national team of Ukraine helped to bear the Gold away for our team: Order of Merit for “All-Ukrainian Sport Fishing Club in the Fishermen Community of Ukraine” they were awarded with the laptops!

 On January 25-26 activists of «the Fishermen Community of Ukraine» conducted inspection raids in the markets of the capital and Kiev’s oblast – with respect to the discovery of the illegal fishing gears trade. Representatives of the Kiev’s ecological and cultural center, Kiev State Fish Protection and Ministry of the Internal Affairs took part in the raids.
In the course of two days three volunteer teams and law enforcement officials with the total number of 20 persons, inspected six cities and towns: Kiev, Belaya Tserkov, Skvira, Vasilkov, Fastov, Irpen. Due to the operating information received from the local activists of the Community, only the markets, where the illegal fishing gears trade had been discovered were inspected.

 Kyiv Regional Council supported treatment of anglers, angered by the barbarous destruction of aquatic resources in reservoirs of the Kiev region. Fishing cooperatives are breaking the rules with impunity, exceed the catch quota of native fish species, they hide the actual catches. In support of this appeal in front of Kyiv Regional Council took place a peaceful demonstration of anglers demanding the prohibition of uncontrolled industrial fishing, in the framework of the Fishermen Community of Ukraine and the all-Ukrainian action "Poachers in the law - STOP!"
 President of Ukraine signed the Law ¹ 3325-VI of 12.05.2011 amending the Law of Ukraine «About Wildlife».
We congratulate all honest fishermen of Ukraine with the adoption of total ban on production, sale and consumption and imports of poaching implements in Ukraine!
The bill ¹ 6458-1 about strengthen measures to combat poaching was developed by Fishermen Comunity of Ukraine and Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Centre in association with MP of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko and supported by his colleagues A. Semynoha, V. Danilenko, A. Horoshkevych, J. Prokopchuk, V. Moysyk.
 Activists of the "Fishermen Comunnity of Ukraine" and Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center in an unusual way lobbying for the adoption of new environmental legislation: in a building of the Verkhovna Rada (pre-session hall) has been arranged "Exhibition of poaching equipment". The bill ¹ 6458-1 from 19.11.2010 to amend the Law of Ukraine "On Fauna" (on the strengthening of measures to combat poaching) was considered the people's deputies today and was adopted as a basis for first reading. This bill, in the case of its further adoption, will lead to a complete ban on the import, manufacture, storage, sale and use of poaching equipment for getting animals and aquatic resources.
 02.11.2010 after prior agreement with the developers of the bill - Fishermen Community of Ukraine and the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center - in the Ukrainian Parliament was registered by the new draft Law ¹ 7322 "On Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences on enhanced measures to protect nature".
 02.06.2010 after prior agreement with the developers of the bill - Gromada Fishing trips in Ukraine and the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center - in the Verkhovna Rada was registered by the new draft Law ¹ 6458-1 «On Amendments to the Law" On Wildlife "(concerning the strengthening of measures against poaching). The purpose of adopting the draft Law is an urgent need for a legislative ban the manufacture, sale and use of poaching implements and a prohibition of entry into Ukraine traps, synthetic nets and electric rods used solely for the purpose of poaching.
 May 19, 2010 at the initiative of Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko and President of the Fishermen Community of Ukraine Andriy Nelipa a round table «Problems of realization of Ukrainian legislation on combating grave violations of human fisheries, and ways to improve it».

"Fishermen Community of Ukraine" initiated the development and implementation of the "Programme of stocking ponds Ukrainian native fish species. "We were invited to cooperate with relevant government organizations, academia, associations of ecological and environmental activities. Of course, we hope for support of the business circles of Ukraine, responsible business - together we can solve this problem.
